Wardrobe Warriors

Are you looking for an exciting way to revitalize your closet? You've got to look into Wardrobe Warriors! 

Wardrobe Warriors is the creation of Paige (me!), Bluetique Charlottesville manager, and Kristen, Youtube superstar (Shut Up Kristen!) and fashionista. What we do is create style challenges that occur daily, weekly, or even monthly! Each challenge uses solely what you have in your closet right now. We know no one wants to have to go out and buy new clothes every day just to get some excitement back in your wardrobe. 

Here's an example of a past challenge:

June featured the Wardrobe Warriors Challenge calendar! Each day there was a new challenge, and the participants all found different ways to make it work for them.

The challenges range from quirky, like mixing at 3 three different patterns or mixing neon and leather, to things as simple as wearing a crop top or bandeau! It's just a way to realize how much you can do with what's already in your closet.

The July challenge will feature weekly celebrity inspiration, challenging you to model your outfits after some of your favorite celebrities! Think Selena Gomez, Blake Lively, and Taylor Swift...You can be just as stylish as they are, but save thousands of dollars by shopping in your closet!

Unite and Strengthen

So, unless you've been living under a rock the past few days, you know today is the day. USA will play Germany to move forward in the FIFA World Cup. It's kind of a big deal. So for all of you lucky people that get to watch the noon kickoff, let this chant run through your heads for the game!

The Topless Tour

So there's an instagram account you need to follow. Shocking, I know. A couple of gals created The Topless Tour (#TheToplessTour) account wanting people to send in their pictures to show the world what freedom is. The three girls from London got the idea from a trip they took to Norway. "We love seeing all the beautiful photos and hearing the touching stories, but what is so wonderful is that underneath lies the powerful message of taking pride in our differences and embracing the love for the body." The Topless Tour does exactly what they say: "Uniting people across the globe to feel the freedom and share their beauty with the world." Rad. So rad. I've posted a couple of my favorites below...go check them out, it might even inspire you to travel a bit more this summer.

Summertime Locks

We're just days away from summer actually beginning (yipee!). Saturday cannot come fast enough and if you're anything like me, you've been trying to find the best hair products for summer since May 1st. Frizz, y'all. It happens every year and this summer will be no different. On most summer days you can find my hair up in a top knot..no way I'm letting this mane flow freely during the summer months. I can never find the right products to really keep my hair from frizzing up, until now. Enter Davines. I received their products from my monthly Birchbox subscription and for the month of June, they nailed it. It was all about hair and frizzy hair at that. The Davines Love Smoothing shampoo and conditioner may have just saved my life. What? I mean my hair. I thought 'no way' when I read the label 'for harsh and frizzy hair.' So I immediately ran to the shower, duh. Y'all, this shampoo is my jam. It works and I'm finally done trying to find the perfect solution to tame this hair of mine. Go get you some.

Old Loves

I was tumbling through tumblr the other day and I came across the most fabulous picture. I'm always searching "old loves" and "old hollywood." The results of this search are always good, but this particular day was wonderful. I came across a picture of Humphrey Bogart and my favorite, Lauren Bacall. I'm just going to go ahead and say that they were probably the most handsome couple of all time. I think you'll agree with me. They've just got that something, don't you think?

World Cup

If you've been living under a rock lately, someone should probably tell you that the FIFA world cup is only a few days away from the opening ceremony. I personally, cannot wait. USA plays Ghana on June, 16th and it's only a week away! If this world cup is anything like the last one, it will be a wild and fun ride.

You Don't Own Me

With the #YesToAllWomen hashtag taking over the twitterverse, it's very noticeable that the movement won't be dying down anytime soon. I've personally taken the time to read many of the tweets with this hashtag and they are all moving as well as inspiring. One of my favorite people ever, Bette Midler, tweeted last night and it was glorious.

Let's just say that no truer words have ever been spoken. You glow, girl.

River Water

 I have a friend that likes to turn up the jamz on Saturday mornings. They'll play anything from the strokes to drake and it always fits the mood, always on point. This Saturday was different. I've heard of Moon Taxi but have never really listened to them yet, they're on my list (yes, I have a list). I heart them now. I've put the acoustic version of River Water below and I hope ya digs. Pay attention to that banjo and I promise you'll be tapping ya toes. I've had it on repeat since Saturday.
