I'm sure you all know that today, April 30th marks the tenth anniversary of Mean Girls. The only thing that would make this day better is if it actually fell on October third. Being that this movie is the most quoted and adored by female fans, it is a day to appreciate it's awesomeness and hopefully, you wore pink today.
How we feel now that this movie is 10
As far as we're concerned, all of their hair is full of secrets
Did you today?
we did.
Now go home and tell your boyfriend that his hair looks sexy pushed back.
If you aren't convinced that Emma Stone is one of the cutest girls ever (which we can't believe, btw), then your mind must be changed. Please watch the video below as she and Jimmy Fallon host a lip syncing competition..you will die (in a good way).
Oh Monday, you always roll around too quickly. The first thought I had this morning was: Holly Golightly. I think it had something to do with the rain and the temperature this time of year, I always picture myself strolling down fifth avenue. Upon this thought, I decided to channel her throughout the day..if the rain or my purring cat didn't define Miss. Golightly well enough, I figured that Moon River on repeat at my desk would suffice. So here you are ladies...this is the feeling of Monday's as told by Audrey Hepburn herself.

6:30 AM Wake up Call...Do I really have to wake up??
Then Suddenly, your phone rings..
And you automatically feel like Fay McKenzie at Holly's party (Please..I don't want to wake up!!)
So you stumble to the bathroom..
Followed by a cup of coffee with your Fred-baby
Then it's off to work..Fred/Paul insists that you go
Just go with it..you're out the door now.
Still primping as you arrive
But really...this is how you're feeling
Oh well, you might as well make the most of it
You dream of your daybed all day..and maybe even Paul/Fred-baby
(all while getting your work done)
Suddenly..the clock strikes five!
And before you know it, you're home with Mr. Varjak
A couple months ago, I shared a video from Rick Mereki and his travels across eleven countries equaling 38,000 miles (#Swoon). The point of the video being MOVE. On this journey he also documented the cuisine (#Eeeeeeats) from the 44 day adventure. He made it into a video and I must say, it's ahmazing. If you love food, you'll love this video and it's the perfect time of year to get creative in the kitchen. So get inspired, y'all! I'll be sharing more of Mereki's videos soon...they're all so wonderful! Until then, enjoy and happy hump day.
Don't all of these dishes look heavenly?! I think so, too.
Happy Earth Day, everyone! Here at Bluetique, this day is super special. It's a day to remember our home base in all of it's natural glory and to feed our souls on the nutrients it provides daily. Don't take your home for granted and never stop making it a better place. It sure is a wonderful world!
I am an impostor. I'm 38. I run the Harrisonburg store. I'm the Regional Manager for Bluetique Virginia. I parent a 15 year old spirited son. I'm getting married. However, I do not feel like I'm a grown up, at all. In my head, I'm still that 17 year old drama geek desperately trying to show the world who I am and what I can do.
And then I see this video. An 80 year old proving to the world that age is just a number and how it doesn't matter. You can still be that girl, showing the world what you can do.
I want to be her when I grow up.

Simon's not strictly in the mood for ballroom, but Paddy & Nico have much more in store than first appearances suggest. Watch the energy-shift in this electric pairing's performance.
Have you heard it...the wonderful beats/news?! Yup, Lana Del Rey has released her new single West Coast from her upcoming album Ultraviolence. From the sound of this new hit, it seems we'll be sure to hear good beats as well as her sultry voice on this album..can we say, thank heavens. If you haven't heard West Coast yet, take a peek below at the teaser for the song..it's wonderful and I can only imagine what the video will be like...remember her other fabulous creations (Born to Die, National Anthem, Video Games)?
I'm sure you all know...the first weekend of Coachella ended yesterday and if you're anything like me, you love all the fashion this festival brings out. It's amazing. Flower crowns, crochet and cut-offs are among the best trends for 2014 and I must say, there were some real winners from the opening weekend. Below I've posted my six favorite looks I've seen thus far, I'm sure I'll come across more as the day goes on..but don't forget about this upcoming weekend. So if you're one of the lucky ones going or if it's going to be warm in your 'hood this weekend, we say make it Coachella themed. Relax, have fun and always, stay stylish. Happy Monday, Friends!
So tell me, Which one of these 'fits would you wear?
I don't know about y'all but I'm fascinated with the United Kingdom and it seems to be a little heightened at the moment. Maybe it's because Wills and Kate + Prince George are touring New Zealand or maybe it's because one of my besties is currently residing in Scotland. Whatever it may be, I dig the English accent (I think most girls can agree with me on that one). Dialect coach, Andrew Jack can speak like a native of everywhere within the United Kingdom. It. Is. Amazing. Watch below and see for yourself. Enjoy!
If you could visit any of these places, where would you go?!
